Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic musician, singer and actor. He combines soul gospel jazz and R&B for a distinctive blend. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway to the Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine's title is Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta at present, Sunshine comes from Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she started out as a musician, singing and playing at the church in town. In Atlanta she was a student at Spellman College where her musical instruction began with Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You the House, was only released in Japan. It has been remixed several times, and has become a staple of her live show. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday, a Grammy and Tony Award winning vocalist who was part of the stage production Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival of Atlanta in 2007, contacted her about being the director of the choral group for the production. Sunshine received national attention during her four daily performances in 2008 at the Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2009 inauguration.
